    Back in 2022, I made a little commitment to myself to be better about remembering what I read this year. One step I took toward achieving that goal was lowering my reading goals. Originally, I set my goal for 75 books. Now, in 2025, I'm not even setting a reading goal! The idea is to take pressure off the quantity of what I read and focus on the quality of how I read. Reading is important to me, and I know no matter how many books I read, it's not a habit I'm going to give up.  

    This led to the second step, and the reason for this blog: being intentional about interacting with what I read so it has a more lasting effect on me. Also, so I can make recommendations to people that are more specific than, "Read it. You'll love it." I'm writing down a little blurb about each book I read, and this is where I'm keeping my collection.
